Refined Rides Detail & Tint offers beginner window tint training at 1001 University Parkway in Yakima, Washington. Our 1 day and 2 day classes include guided practice on real vehicles, with one to two students per class and all film and tools provided. No prior experience is needed.

Yes. Our training takes place at our working shop in Yakima, in Central Washington. Students from Ellensburg, the Yakima Valley, the Tri-Cities, Wenatchee, and elsewhere in Washington are welcome to attend at our Yakima location. All classes are held in person at the shop; we do not travel to other locations.

No. Both courses are designed for beginners, including students who have never touched window film. We explain the tools and preparation, demonstrate each technique, and guide you through practice. No tinting, detailing, or business experience is required.

This is a beginner course that gives you a foundation to build on. You will practice the core techniques with guidance, but consistent quality and speed take continued practice after class. We will discuss your starting point and agree on realistic training goals before you book.

Both. Roughly half the value of this course is what happens off the glass. We go through how we structure pricing, how we talk to customers and quote jobs, where our work actually comes from, and which film and tools we run in our own shop. Installing film is the skill. Pricing it, selling it, and getting customers is what pays you back for learning it.

We are a working shop that happens to teach, not a facility built around teaching. Refined Rides tints vehicles for paying customers every week, so what we pass on is what we are actually doing right now, including the pricing we charge and the tools we settled on after paying for the ones we didn't keep.

We can't promise a number, and you should be careful with anyone who does. What we can do is give you the pricing structure, sales approach, and marketing that works for us, so you are not guessing your way through the first year. Tint installation commonly bills in the range of $200 to $300 per hour of shop time, but what you earn depends on your market, your pricing, and how much work you bring in.

One to two students maximum. We do not fill classes to capacity because one on one time at the glass is the entire point of in person training.

No. All film and tools needed for the class are provided. You just need to show up ready to work.

Yes. You train on real vehicles in a working shop, not on flat practice glass. Real door glass and real back glass are where the skill actually gets built.

Both courses start with the basics. The 1 day course introduces the core techniques and business fundamentals. We recommend 2 days for most beginners because the extra day gives you more guided practice, more time for questions, and more repetition on heat shrinking.

All training is held at our shop at 1001 University Parkway in Yakima, Washington. We do not travel to other locations.

Full payment is required upfront to reserve your training dates. Because each class requires advance preparation and reserved shop time, payments are nonrefundable for student cancellations or no-shows.
